The U.S. Department of Labor’s Veterans Employment and Training Services awarded Mental Health America of Hawaii a $300,000 federal grant to help homeless women Veterans and male Veterans with children get jobs. Hawaii’s Senator Daniel Inouye and Senator Daniel Akaka announced the award on June 30, 2010. Mental Health America of Hawaii has contracted with theStrategist, LLC. to design and implement POWER Up! The project area extends to all urban Honolulu communities.
